About Matt Scarr
A graduate of Film and Screenwriting at Sheffield Hallam University and post-graduate of Psychology in Education at the University of York, England. Currently, working as a Camera Operator for RaceTech; an Outside Broadcast company delivering British horse racing coverage on Sky Sports and Racing TV. Academic Interest I have previously specialised in studying Negative Self-Talk affect on self-concept and self-esteem in adolescents. I am presently engaged in research into somatic/sensorimotor trauma interventions that may be delivered in conjunction with dissociation models of c-PTSD treatment, such as; Internal Family Systems Model. I have designed a course dedicated to providing nationwide workshop-style interventions to adolescents and their teachers. The aim is to provide them with psycho-educational training in mind and body approaches to manage their own internal stress response. It is my view that now, more than ever, it is necessary for young people to be equipped with the skills to regulate their nervous system to thrive in modern society.
