Matt currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sirtex Medical, a global healthcare leader that manufactures interventional treatment solutions, including minimally invasive cancer and embolization therapies. He is focused on elevating the company’s mission to improve the quality and longevity of patients’ lives while optimizing treatment options for physicians. By partnering with physicians and medical device companies while building high-performing global teams, Matt fosters an environment of innovation that meets the needs of the ever-changing medical device industry. He joined Sirtex in 2023 as the Executive Vice President of Global Sales and was appointed CEO in 2024. Prior to Sirtex, Matt spent nearly 20 years at Abbott where he led global product launches across key international and domestic markets. Some of his top accomplishments include securing early approval and premium reimbursement for a next-generation scaffold in Japan, integrating the St. Jude Medical Japan business post-acquisition and launching the first commercial technology to diagnose coronary microvascular disease in the U.S. Known for his collaborative and data-driven leadership style, Matt is passionate about advancing medical innovation and empowering teams to deliver meaningful impact.
