About Matt Simi

I became a financial advisor in 1991 and was the first advisor that Hambrecht and Quist (H&Q) hired when they decided to expand their retail brokerage team. Throughout my career I've focused on working with Technology and Life Science companies. I've partnered with companies such as Verisign, Affiliated Computer Services, Gilead Sciences, and Sangstat Medical. In 2001, I left H&Q after they were bought by JPMorgan Chase and moved my business to Bear Stearns. I worked at Bear Stearns for 7 years until they were also purchased by JPMorgan. In 2008, I joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Vice President of Wealth Management. After 12 years at Morgan Stanley, I decided it was time to move on and I joined the largest money manager in the world, UBS. I'm originally from Modesto, CA. I received an athletic scholarship to UC Berkeley, played 4 years of collegiate soccer, and was Co-Captain of the team. I graduated with a BS from the U.C.
