About Matt Skinner

With over 13 years of experience in media production, I am a passionate and creative sports writer, producer, and DJ. I have a BA in Radio Production (Hons) from the University of Glamorgan. I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Sports Journalism at the University of South Wales, which I deferred for the next 12 months. My mission is to deliver engaging and informative content that connects with fans and showcases the stories and achievements of athletes and teams. I was proud to be part of FanNation, a platform that empowers sports writers to share their insights and opinions with a global audience. As a sports writer at FanNation, I covered Manchester City in the City Transfer Room, where I collate, report, and give up-to-date information on anything related to the club. I worked with a talented team of aspiring sports writers, and I used my video production and editing skills to create compelling and visually appealing stories. I also produce a monthly mixtape featuring song bootlegs and video graphics for nightclub promotion. In addition, I became a freelance project coordinator at Bak, where I helped develop and deliver the inaugural Wal Goch Festival, a celebration of Welsh football history and culture in Wrexham before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
