About Matt Solomon

Dr Solomon is a staff physician at the Sault Area Hospital. For the last 10 years, his primary focus has been practicing emergency medicine. His leadership has been recognized and demonstrated through various positions in the department, culminating with his current role as chief of the department. His other clinical interests also include walk in clinic services, long term care and student health services. When he has time, he helps fill last minute vacancies at other emergency departments in Northern Ontario. Dr Solomon has a strong interest in continuing education, and most recently has begun the Foundation Course in Occupational Health through the University of Alberta to become board certified in Occupational Medicine. His services includes work medicals, civil aviation, routine surveillance, assessment for designated substances, medical testing and consulting.
