About Matt Teeter
I’m a musculoskeletal imaging scientist advancing orthopaedic implants and digital health technologies to improve mobility and quality of life after joint replacement. As Director of the Western Bone and Joint Institute, I lead 300+ members to drive interdisciplinary musculoskeletal research. I also direct CenTRI, an x-ray/CT imaging core facility at Robarts Research Institute, and the Implant Retrieval Laboratory at London Health Sciences Centre. My work has earned multiple awards and is supported by industry, government, and health charities. I'm a member of the Knee Society and I’ve served as President of both the Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society and the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty. I bring experience in medical device start-ups and legal consulting on failed implants. I’m passionate about bridging academia and industry to bring new orthopaedic technologies from lab to market, and welcome collaborations with innovators who share this vision.
