About Matt Tinker

Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I chose a career in financial services because I believe I can make a difference in the lives of families in my community. At Edward Jones, we offer investments, services, and tools our clients need to work toward their financial future. In addition, the firm has thousands of professionals and advanced technology supporting our branch offices to help clients reach their long-term financial goals. I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering and minor in I/O Psychology from the University of Missouri - Rolla because I always loved to figure out how ALL things worked. After college, my career has been very customer focused as I've loved working with people and businesses to help them reach their goals. My drive for business and finance can be attributed to my mother who was a business school teacher for over 30 years. Her influence and support throughout my life has helped lead me to where I am today. From there my passion for personal investments and finances and combined with my technical background and customer focused career, the progression to Edward Jones was a perfect fit. I'm proud to share that I continue to expand on my knowledge and have also earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS™) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC™) designations to better serve the people and business I work with. Relocated from the mid-west, I now reside in Folsom with my wife Parisa, and 3 beautiful children: Kiana, Kamran & Chista. As a family we love to enjoy the abundance of nature that northern California has to offer, whether that be hiking, camping, water sports, running/biking on the local trails, etc. This area has truly been a wonderful place to raise a family. My free time is fewer and further between these days with our growing family, but I love playing golf, exercising and watching a good movie or show with the family.
