About Matt Visio

Engineer turned investment banker with a passion for solving problems. I started my career working summers as a ranch hand on one of Colorado’s largest privately held ranches in the South San Juans, which sparked a lasting love for the outdoors and hard work. After earning a degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, I spent four years on drilling rigs in high-pressure environments that demanded long hours, grit, and sharp problem-solving. I later earned my MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and transitioned into consumer investment banking in San Francisco, where I focus on deals across the food, fitness, and restaurant sectors. Outside of work, you’ll find me on a bike, a trail, or under the hood of my 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser. I’m mechanically minded, deeply curious, and driven by challenges that blend strategy with real-world problem-solving.
