Love working in the Warehousing and transport world, always looking into new challenges to further my career and keep life interesting. I started in logistics by securing a place on the Linfox graduate program out of Lincoln University where I graduated with a double major in Supply Chain Mangement and International Business. Linfox gave me a great start by allowing me to rotate through multiple divisions within Linfox while also experiencing their Australian Business and their best practices. Firstly, at Linfox was running a small warehousing team as we set up a new customer and warehousing system and then delivering the results we promised. Moved to the transport world and was trained up first to be the FMCG Metro Dispatcher and then a couple months later to the FMCG Linehaul dispatcher. Fortunate enough to be offered a job at the conclusion of my time as a Grad and moved in as the AM FMCG Operations Manager looking after the AM transport operations. From there I took a role with Bigchill in their fledgling 3PL operation and was fortunate enough to be part of their massive growth going from 12 people to 75 in our operation. The Operations Mangement role at Bigchill was highly people focused in a very lean environment where communication and collaboration between teams was critical to ensuring we could produce our customers' orders for on time delivery both frozen and Chilled. We also had a big focus on value added activities which were needed to prepare products for the consumer, these were primarily focused on thawing activities such as date stamping or repacking but also MPI testing requirements to release imported products for the domestic market. Currently I have taken on a new role within Pacificomm as a warehouse Manager to hopefully replicate the achievements the growth I had a Bigchill and help grow them to be the next big thing in the 3PL world.
