About Matt Wohl

Throughout my life I've done a variety of things in a variety of places. There have been two recurring themes in the positions I've held. I have chosen opportunities where I am a storyteller, or where I am helping educate others. Some of the most rewarding work I've done combines the two. As the Chair of the Film, Television and Digital Production Department at Miami Dade College, I am both a storyteller and educator. I educate students on the essential elements of visual storytelling in screenwriting. In doing so, I improve my own understanding of the craft and put those lessons to work in my own creative endeavors. It's also imperative to create an environment for education to flourish. We accomplish this through professional, industry-based instruction on state of the art equipment. I have performed improv comedy for nearly 20 years and I've written or co-written over ten screenplays. I write stories that stress the importance of personal connections. My goal is to continue to grow creatively and with each project I push myself to try new approaches and techniques.
