About Matteo Marsala

My working experience started at Liam during my thesis work with the study of the Beckhoff platform, TwinCAT 2 and code development for an automatic machine. After the degree in automation engineering (110/110 cum laude) I was hired by the same company in the division "Virtual Commissioning". I worked in development of projects of virtual models for automatic machine and projects of modeling of the Beckhoff drive. Then I was hired by Magneti Marelli as a Control Engineer for software control development with model-based code, of the electric propulsion system of the Ferrari. Then I was taken back by LIAM as Team Leader of the group "Predictive Maintenance".The main objective is to detect faults on the automatic machine even before they affect productivity.These projects include both the phase of data acquisition, via NI, Beckhoff and B&R, both the phase of data processing using Matlab. In july 2016 i was hired by Marpos like Product developmente Engineer in the develpment of new hardware and software solution in the division DAS in Marposs. My task is to design and develop the software library and the new software architecture for the new Marposs automatic machine Thanks to these experiences I have acquired skills ranging from the automotive world to the world of automatic machines.In detail I have skills in creating model-based code with Matlab / Simulink and Stateflow Target Link, Can Analyzer and INCA for HIL testing.I also have skills in modeling of real systems, both Model Based both Model of Signal Based on Matlab / Simulink, the sensor systems, the Beckhoff platforms, NI, and B&R and their development environments (TwinCAT 2 and 3, Automation Studio 4, Labview), in the creation of algorithms in Matlab and PLC code in ST, the PLCopen standard and motion control, the management of electronic cams, in the special functions of the I / O modules, such as oversampling, in fieldbus such as EtherCAT and Powerlink.
