About Matteo Masciarelli

I posses a BA in Business Administration, for which I completed all the academic requirements in less than two years, starting September 2018 and finishing in August 2020. This along with my competencies in programming, finance and data science/analytics shows my capabilities to quickly learn new skills and concepts. This is further amplified by my ability to play several instruments including guitar, bass, double bass, flute, piccolo, saxophone and piano which were mostly self taught. While pursuing my degree, I discovered my passion for finance. Currently I have taken and passed the first level of the CFA program. I am looking forward to completing the the other two examinations in the next few years and eventually obtaining the charter. Additionally, I am well versed in programming, data analytics and data science. These skills complement my competencies in finance as they help me streamline the analysis of financial data and perform complex computations easily with code. I have a professional certificate in Data Analytics from IBM and am pursuing a professional certificate in Data Science. Despite my strong technical skills, I also possess strong soft skills in management and communication. I have obtained a professional certificate from Google in Project Management, which gave me the foundations of Agile and Scrum, and have taken several communication courses in my university career. Furthermore, my experience in managing my family's hospitality business has not only enabled me to develop strong interpersonal skills both in a business and customer relations context but also solid operations management skills. I am looking forward to starting my MSc in Financial Data Science next year at University College Dublin, and finding a job in the hedge fund industry. Following my MSc I am hoping to attend an executive law school in order to obtain a J.D.
