Maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, overseeing CAPEX projects, managing the implementation of automation and innovative machine upgrades, involved in process improvement projects, developing new machine designs in, and deploying continuous improvement techniques summarise my 23 years of experience as in the engineering field working as Automation engineer and Maintenance Management professional. As an excellent maintenance manager/leader with a strategic outlook, I develop robust maintenance strategies, assessing ongoing risks and deploying safe work practices for minimising production downtime. Demonstrating a keen ability at driving business change for transforming organisations, controlling budgets, managing capital assets, and ensure equipment reliability for enhancing the productivity/efficiency of the manufacturing function. As part of my maintenance responsibilities, I investigate problems and issues with machines using Reliable Centred Maintenance (RCM) practices and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques, in addition to implementing preventive, predictive and breakdown/repair maintenance plans/schedules. Furthermore, I am adapt at utilising maintenance management, automation, and CMMS tools, including JD Edwards, Schneider, Siemens, and Rockwell for streamlining the maintenance operations. Additionally, I am well-versed in SCADA and PLC programming, including Schneider, Siemens, Allen Bradley, InControl Soft PLC, Adroit, RSView and InTouch, for ensuring controlling and optimising the operations of all machinery. As a leader par excellence, I delegate maintenance tasks to the teams in the mechanical,electrical and technical departments, in addition to providing the required technical expertise for driving maintenance operations and achieving financial objectives. Institutionalising a culture of performance and continuous improvement, I train and motivate the teams to think critically for investigating root causes of problems, guiding the team in developing innovative solutions for maintaining machinery and maintaining strong relationships with vendors/contractors/OEMs for optimising the cost of maintaining plant and machinery.
