I am a Middle Market Underwriter for Illinois at Westfield Insurance. I specialize in property, general liability, auto, work comp, and umbrella coverages. I have underwritten insurance in several regions for over 14 years, the last 3 with extra emphasis on new business production at Chubb. I spend my free time between my family and my pro paintball career. In addition to the above, I am also: • An early adopter of new underwriting platforms such as Benchmarq. Having written the first Benchmarq account at Chubb, I continuously provide feedback to make improvements to the system. In 2021, I was a countrywide leading underwriter regarding Benchmarq utilization. • A leader in feedback for the Benchmarq renewal process, I collaborated with the platform programmers on the first renewal and several thereafter within the system. • A developer of documents to improve underwriting processes and efficiencies such as the Policy Tracking Workbook, Umbrella Rating Worksheets, Net Rate Comparison Worksheets, and the CIS New Business Assessment which has been utilized as a template for Chubb’s newly developed InCight Platform. In addition, I have a general business acumen from my MBA that provides me with expertise in: • Job coaching newly hired underwriters • Relationship building and fostering with agents and brokers throughout the Midwest Territory • Negotiation skills and tactics • Coordinating marketing efforts with fellow Chubb colleagues • Data analytics to make prudent underwriting decisions I enjoy helping colleagues with their questions and challenges while providing efficient underwriting services to my agents and brokers.
