About Matthew Barber

I'm a Business Management with Finance graduate (First-Class expected, July 2025) with a focus on strategy, analysis, and operational problem-solving. I’m motivated by figuring out how things work and making them work better. At university, I scored 90% on my dissertation exploring central bank crisis management and ranked 1st in a strategic simulation acting as CEO. I also achieved Firsts in 14 of 18 modules, including Data Analysis, Financial Management, and Project Planning, a foundation built on critical thinking, structure, and applied learning. Outside the classroom, I’ve worked part-time at The Food Warehouse since 2018, mentoring over 10 new colleagues and supporting daily operations across service, stock, and visual merchandising. That hands-on experience shaped my discipline, communication, and ability to contribute under pressure. Right now, I’m building fluency in Excel and Power BI, and actively exploring opportunities in business, consulting, finance, or property, anywhere I can learn fast, deliver value, and grow with a high-performing team.
