About Matthew Barrett

I love to lead teams and collaborate with people to solve complex problems through experimentation and questions. My role at Reddit enables me to partner with the some of the world's best and brightest marketers across CPG, QSR, M&E, Auto, & Tech in Canada. I coach my team to uncover business objectives + challenges and then build digital strategies and tactics to achieve +address them, leveraging the world's largest community of communities. I'm a 3x Presidents Club AE with LinkedIn, outpacing quota by 130%+ for 3 consecutive years. I'm also a classically trained marketer having held several business management roles at J&J, a Fortune 50 company and the world's largest healthcare provider. I was selected for J&J's Cross Sector Leadership Development program for emerging talent. I had the opportunity to work with world class teams across multiple industries including consumer-packaged goods (CPG), pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Throughout these experience I had full P&L management, including business strategy, marketing, sales forecasting, customer research, supply chain, and innovation. My education in psychology and neuroscience largely informs the way I think about the world and problems. Everything becomes easier when you apply a scientific framework. Bottom line - I love to win, compete and get the best out of my teams. Outside of work, I’m a Dad, a sports junky, and an outdoor enthusiast.
