About Matthew Bernstein

As a Associate in the corporate group at Loeb & Loeb LLP in Los Angeles, CA, I maintain a broad corporate practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, sports-related matters, and other general business matters. I previously practiced at Dechert LLP, a global law firm, where I represented private equity sponsors in various transactions and corporate matters, including buy-side and sell-side M&A deals, leveraged debt financing, and equity incentive programs. I also conducted and supervised legal due diligence, drafted and negotiated transaction documents and agreements, and managed entity formation and restructuring actions. I graduated from the New York University School of Law (after transferring from the Georgetown University Law Center), and have a Master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University. My professional background includes business development and retail operations in both the sports industry (including four seasons with the Washington Nationals) and at multiple law firms.
