Matthew Beveridge is a registered Professional Engineer (BC) working as a Project Manager in AECOM’s Remediation Team supporting the closure, remediation, and reclamation of mines in Northern Canada. This includes leading technical multidisciplinary teams and engagement with Indigenous Nations, Regulators, and other stakeholders. Matthew previously lead fish habitat and riparian restoration projects to support Teck/EVR’s Fisheries Act Authorizations. Matthew's past experience in environmental consulting (12 years) included leading Hemmera's Alberta/NWT Site Assessment and Remediation team. Matthew managed a team of engineers, geoscientists, and technicians from juniors to senior risk assessors and hydrogeologists, while building Hemmera's project portfolio and backlog. He has worked for government and private sector clients conducting environmental site assessments and remediation programs in Alberta, the NWT, Yukon, BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Nunavut. As a project manager, his experience includes coordinating, and managing site investigation and remediation programs on a variety of industrial and commercial properties. His responsibilities include scope development and preparation of work plans, budget management, communication with clients and regulators, coordinating field programs and the subsequent preparation of technical reports. Matthew has outstanding organizational and management skills, which he has cultivated by leading teams throughout project lifecycles, and in developing the Site Assessment and Remediation team in Alberta/NWT at Hemmera. Matthew’s extensive field experience includes emergency spill response, remedial excavations, management of multiple environmental contractors, oversight of drilling programs including borehole advancement, groundwater monitoring well installations, and soil vapour well installations, sediment sampling by various methods (Van Veen, vibracore, hand auger, Sonic drill), supervision and training of field staff, confirmatory soil sampling, and aquifer testing. He is an effective communicator, with client liaison and interpersonal skills gained from working on large scale projects with close client and contractor interactions such as the DEW Line Clean-Up Project, the Heber Dam Remediation Project, and the Rock Bay Remediation Project Stage 3. Through his work in numerous jurisdictions such as Alberta, the NWT, Yukon, BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Nunavut Matthew has obtained knowledge of multiple environmental regulations
