About Matthew Bossler

Leading the charge in sustainable urban development, my role as Senior City Planner with the City and County of Denver's focuses on zoning reform and strategic urban design. Our efforts reshape Denver's neighborhoods into models of modern livability and environmental responsibility. With a comprehensive skill set in landscape architecture, urban design, and urban planning, I work within Community Planning and Development's Regulatory Planning division to build and guide coalitions of city builders, thought leaders, community groups, and knowledge experts through progressive community development initiatives. Stylistically, I help groups find success by encouraging diverse points of view, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and good humor. In addition, my team implements and enhances the city's base zone districts, design overlays, and urban design standards and guidelines, with a common goal to harmonize community needs with progressive urban growth principles. I specifically focus on developing enlightened code, rules and regulations in the City's emerging mid-rise, transit-rich, and riverside districts, including Broadway Park, Cherry Creek, and the streetcar corridors of North Denver. At CPD, our mission is to co-create places, businesses, and homes centered around multi-modal transportation and public life, ensuring Denver continues to thrive as a beacon of thoughtful urban planning and design.
