About Matthew Breen

Since the start of my career I have been successful in driving revenue and business growth through a healthy mix of strategic market planning and building trusting relationships. I am an excellent communicator and can explain complex ideas in a simple way. This has been evident in my roles as an English teacher and as a telemarketer. I can build trust both over the phone and in person, which has led to people trusting me over the years with sensitive information like their financial situations. This has allowed me to get enough information from my clients to provide the best advice for their own personal situations. In my work with Irish Pensions and Finance as Schemes Development Officer, I was able to organise high-value Group AVC schemes for my colleagues to work on. I did this through a mix of cold calling, relationship development, hierarchical permissions and appointment setting. I worked directly with the CEO to organise these meetings with the heads of Public Sector organisations in Ireland as well as followed through to ensure all trust deeds were signed and the rollouts were well organised. With every success, I ensured that we also took as many referrals as possible which helped this project snowball. This grew from raising in the first year to in the first quarter of year two. I took a year off to travel and also to improve my individual consultation skills and teaching in Italy provided this for me. I am now ready to develop my career even further as a Business Development Professional. I am highly ambitious, motivated, have great communication and interpersonal skills as well as a wealth of experience with clients face to face and on the phone. Since this, I have worked as a Software Sales Executive and now Software Sales Consultant for Avolution Software. In this role, I have been responsible for managing sales in the Nordic and Western European regions and have led our team to various successes. I have also shown a key understanding of how to build and develop the sales processes that will help our team excel. I have led a great expansion into these regions, achieving an twice my annual target for the Benelux region in the first full quarter.
