About Matthew Breese

Brand leader shaping the future of multimodal transport in Wales I’m passionate about brands and the stories they tell - how they connect with people, shape experiences and drive lasting impact. With a strategic and creative mindset, I thrive on building brands that not only resonate but deliver real commercial value. At Transport for Wales, I lead the brand strategy across a growing multimodal transport network - bringing together rail, bus and active travel under one unified brand. I’ve led large-scale brand transformations, developed a future-ready brand architecture and built the creative and strategic platforms that power consistent, meaningful brand expression across customer touch-points. I have deep experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns - from insight-driven strategy and brief development to execution across ATL, digital, social and experiential. I work cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure the brand’s voice is consistent, compelling and aligned with our brand framework. With a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends and performance insight, I bring both creative vision and operational focus to the work I lead. I’ve built and nurtured high-performing agency partnerships and teams, led in-house creative capability and championed innovation across every part of the brand journey.
