About Matthew Brown

10 years neuroscience experience in academic research as student, postdoc and research fellow. Through this time I built a portfolio of academic publications, wrote grants and managed students to deliver projects. I now work for the Wellcome Trust, helping to shape and manage a portfolio of projects delivering Wellcomes strategic ambitions at the interface of mental health, neuroscience and digital tools / technologies. During my time at Wellcome I have managed the neuroscience portfolio at Wellcome, from cellular models to cognitive therapies, managing the decision process and helping researchers shape projects. I now run a small team to deliver a portfolio of innovative digital tools, technologies and platforms to accelerate neurosience and mental health research. I have served on several management and advisory boards, worked with academics to shape research programmes and managed contracts to implement external partnerships as well as deliver external landscaping work and gap analyses.
