About Matthew Bui

I am an aspiring and self-driven engineer looking to help continue building upon the foundation for future advancements in today's world. As a recent graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, I was able to introduce myself to various projects and opportunities surrounding technical solutions to real-world problems. Following my undergraduate career, I decided to continue my educational studies by attending the Georgia Institute of Technology where I currently hold the position of Graduate Research Assistant and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Student. I have multiple years of research experience involving creative and complex problems in areas related to solid mechanics, impact mechanics, and fracture mechanics in addition to my current research that utilizes intermediate heat transfer, multi-scale modeling, and finite element analysis. In addition, I have a background in natural gas pipeline replacement design along with experience in various programming languages and software such as Ansys, MATLAB, Python and SolidWorks. Most recently, I completed an internship position with Boeing South Carolina working on the Aft-Body Manufacturing Team for the 787 Dreamliner.
