About Matthew Cabe

Matthew is a systems engineer with a broad understanding of different fields in information technology. He began his professional journey with building, configuring, and supporting Windows desktops and laptops. With the popularity of Apple products growing in the early he further broaden ihs horizon with with the Mac and iPhone/iPad environment. In 2011, Matthew decided to continue his knowledge expansion in the computer science with a formal education in computer programming with focus on C++, Java, Python, HTML5, and SQL. Currently, Matthew is support engineer at an IT firm that provides professional managed services to public and private entities. These services range from network performance monitoring to intrusion detection systems. His years there has given him a good understanding of network infrastructure including LAN/WAN connectivity, firewalls, endpoint security, WLAN, and load balancing. He also added Linux and Android knowledge to his library of knowledge. Matthew finds fulfillment in research, design, development, documentation, and implementation. This puts his variety of skills and knowledge to full use. Seeing the end results of a project, both strengths and flaws, provides him with satisfactory in his work and encourages him to do better. Currently, Matthew is pursuing a focus in DevOps, specifically automation and infrastructure.
