About Matthew Campbell

With a PGCE in Education from Northumbria University and a passion for education, my career as an educator has been shaped by leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to student growth. Currently, I serve as a Key Stage Coordinator and Teacher at the International School of Madrid, where I manage Middle School operations, oversee house and behavioural systems, and cultivate meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved in safeguarding leadership, serve as the Fire Safety Officer, and contribute to the wider school community through first aid training and leading numerous PE lessons. I am privileged to work alongside an exceptional team at ISM, learning from some of the best leaders in the field. My career has also been shaped by my experiences in the service sector, which strengthened my communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills—key assets in the private school sector. Additionally, my time working on the VFX crew for Game of Thrones enhanced my ability to bring storytelling and creativity into my teaching, making learning more engaging and immersive. Beyond education, I am committed to charity work, having participated in numerous initiatives across Europe and my home country.
