Fusing intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial experience gained in corporate and start-up environments, my career has been centered on creating competitive advantage through innovation in product, service, and operational excellence. I have repeatedly proven my ability to create value through lean, agile thinking and ways of working, and my versatility and speed in grasping opportunities for improvement and growth. In the face of complex systemic challenges and dynamic market environments, I bring a calming demeanor and a corporate toolbox in business best practices. I thrive when given the autonomy to take a step back and guide a business on how to reach its full potential, combining exceptional strategic thinking capability with the people skills to bring functions and stakeholders together, dissolve silos, and build the collaboration platforms to achieve outcomes that benefit the whole organization. This is most recently shown with UPMC, where I have accelerated outcomes supporting the business’ growth engine, the health insurance arm, building on a pedigree with global tech player IBM to identify and develop business cases, strategic initiatives, and service/technology projects driving productivity, risk mitigation, and customer experience improvement. In my spare time, I am also involved in a drug development start-up, Vivasc Therapeutics, where I am leading commercialization. Here, I have also turned my hand to business development with success, securing six-figure funding and brokering relationships across the pharmaceutical space.
