About Matthew Chase

Matt is an aspiring Mechanical Engineer embodying strong determination and creative problem-solving. He achieved a 4.0 GPA at Marquette University before transferring to the University of Texas - Austin where he currently maintains a 3.5 GPA. Matt studied abroad in Madrid, Spain for the full Spring 2022 semester, taking on a full engineering course load. He is trained as a transformational leader, uses these skills regularly as a former member of the executive board of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at UT, and has extensive experience working in a group-oriented environment. He is committed to earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Design & Manufacturing and Automotive & Vehicle Systems Engineering, but is also open to opportunities in various fields that will provide new experiences, learning opportunities, and professional and personal growth. Presently holding a 12-month internship at the Tesla Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, Matt continues to learn new skills while challenging those he has already developed throughout his educational and professional career.
