Background
About Matthew Claar
I've been a member of the Washington News Media for 15 years, having started as an intern at WJLA-ABC 7 during the FALL of 9/11 and parlaying that into jobs at NBC News and C-SPAN. I am a self-starter and a highly motivated employee with strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. I crave challenge and welcome new experiences in life. I work well with people, and am able to delegate when necessary, as well as take direction and handle criticism. I am detail oriented, passionate and hardworking, willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. For what skills I may lack, I grasp concepts quickly, and am willing to learn what is necessary to get the job done. I'm not only proud of were I've been, but excited for where I may go.
