About Matthew Crist

Matthew Crist’s practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in civil cases involving serious automobile and commercial vehicle accidents, defective consumer products, injuries in public places, and medical malpractice. He also represents consumers in class action cases, insurance disputes, and commercial litigation matters. He regularly represents clients in both state and federal court. Matt has been rated by his peers as “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers Florida Trend’s Legal Elite. In addition, Matt has experience counseling clients in cases that have attracted national and local media attention. Cases that he has been involved in have been featured in the Tampa Bay Times, and he has appeared on NBC’s Today Show. After law school, Matt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard, a District Judge appointed to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, one of the largest and most active federal judicial districts in the country. Matt assisted Judge Howard with all types of civil and criminal matters and helped manage her case and trial docket. In addition, before joining Clark & Martino, Matt also practiced law with Greenberg Traurig, LLP, an international law firm, and represented some of the largest companies in the world in cases involving defective products, environmental contamination claims, toxic torts, and catastrophic injuries, in addition to insurance and commercial matters. Matt is active in the legal profession. He is a member of The Florida Bar, serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association’s Young Lawyer Section, and was selected to participate in the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Institute. He is also a member of the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association. Matt is dedicated to community service and works as a mentor for Plant High School’s Connect Mentoring Program.
