I am a visual design artist. I enjoy analyzing problems through interpreting needs and creating or inventing and designing solutions to those problems. I have the ability to visualize in the third dimension, solve problems creatively, adapting where necessary through improvisation and experimentation. I recognize the importance of research and planning in achieving successful designs and the value of foresight in surfacing issues during the design process. I am highly skilled in SolidWorks and other CAD tools, have a background in mechanical engineering technology, and a strong understanding of the materials and machines necessary to develop practical solutions for the real world. I enjoy working with people who like to analyze, interpret, evaluate and solve problems in unstructured environments that inspire creativity in design. I enjoy working with people who like to work with physical objects, machines, and tools. I am a good listener and understand why that is important for good design. I like being given full responsibility for developing solutions to problems but understand the benefit or collaboration in coming up with the best design.
