About Matthew Duncan

I am a recent graduate of the UTI with a certification in robotics technology, where I learned how to design, program, and operate robotic systems. I am interested in getting experience in the fields of robotics and automation. I am a Shop Manager at Comicade, where I have been working for over four years, creating a fun and welcoming environment for the staff and the customers of the comic book and gaming store. I handle the inventory, task delegation, collection appraisal, and event planning and coordination, as well as the social media management and online presence of the store. I use my skills in customer success and marketing to create engaging content and reach out to potential customers and partners, increasing the store's revenue and reputation. I was a Medical Production Operator at Materialise. I learned how to follow standard operating procedures, perform quality assurance, work with SLS 3d printers, and shipping out orders on time. I worked on tasks quickly and effectively, learning as much as I could. This job inspired me to pursue robotics at UTI. I am also passionate about music and robotics, and how they can enhance each other and create new possibilities for expression and innovation. I have a BA in Music from Wayne State University, where I studied music theory, history, and performance. I have also been an Organ Repair Apprentice at Covenant Organs for eight years, where I assist in restoring and maintaining historical and modern organs. I am interested in exploring robotics, and applying my knowledge and skills to various projects and domains.
