About Matthew Edmonds
I completed my PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics studying strategies to make gases of ultracold atoms behave like charged particles in magnetic fields. After this, I moved to Newcastle University for three years, where I worked on finite temperature effects and long-ranged interactions in ultracold atom systems. Previously I held a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, following which I worked on Topology as part of the Keio Topological Science project. Presently I am a Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Queensland.
