About Matthew Eyre

I am a hard-working Manufacturing Engineer who takes pride in completing jobs right first time whilst meeting all legal and regulatory requirements. Over the course of my 10 years in manufacturing I have delivered significant cost savings, reduced lead times and non-conformance, introducing processes to resolve problems and prevent scrap. I thoroughly enjoy building relationships with shop floor, design, and engineering colleagues to optimise manufacturing capability and I possess strong leadership, influencing and organisational skills and consistently adapts to new challenges. I started my career at Rolls-Royce as a higher apprentice and gained invaluable experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector. My first substantive role after my apprenticeship was as a digital manufacturing engineer in Hucknall, working on moving legacy manufacturing instructions to new shop floor delivery programs. My next role was at the Annesley facility where I was accountable for the high pressure turbine disc manufacture completed on site, this included gaining specialist process knowledge on inertia welding of nickel alloys. After 9 years at Rolls-Royce I moved to the Nuclear AMRC in order to expand my knowledge of other safety critical manufacturing sectors. This has given me valuable insight into the future of green energy production and how manufacturing engineering can help achieve that goal
