About Matthew Frandsen

I began my career in Computer Engineering without really knowing what I was getting myself into. I loved computers and the opportunity to solve challenging problems. Progressing through my schooling and starting my internship solidified that this was the correct path for me. This has led me to where I am today, many years later, with a fulfilling career as a Firmware Developer and manager in the Medical Devices Industry. My focus has mostly been on C control code for various sensors, motors, and other peripherals using ARM microcontrollers. I have been with BioMerieux / BioFire for my entire career, and it has been an amazing journey of learning and challenges ever since. I have worked with incredible teams on some amazing projects that have helped the world and can’t wait to see what we do next! My goal is to continue to learn every day and help as many people as a I can along the way. Friends and colleagues would tell you that I am approachable, innovative, and solution oriented. I am always striving to find ways to make my company better. In my personal life I enjoy fishing, reading, traveling, dirt biking.
