About Matthew Freiburger

As a Portfolio Manager, Matthew works with busy professionals to own their time, own their financial strategy and own their future. He is a highly sought-after professional speaker and the author of several white papers including The Right Order and The Power of the Roth IRA. Matthew utilizes individual stocks, bonds and exchange traded funds to build customized portfolios for clients and to help them maintain their long-term wealth. Prior to joining SCO, Matthew was a Portfolio Manager at Steele Investment Counsel, Ltd. for over 13 years. Before this, Matthew was employed by JPMorgan Chase where he served as an Internal Auditor. Prior to this, he worked for four years as a public accountant for Crowe (formerly Crowe Chizek & Company). Matthew successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examinations in three consecutive years and obtained the CFA Charter in 2010. In 2007, he earned his CPA and holds the Series 65 - Uniform Investment Advisor Law license. Matthew graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana with a dual major in Business Management and Accounting and a minor in Finance. He resides with his wife and four young boys in Powell, Ohio. His rambunctious boys keep him occupied in many outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and golf. He is an active member in the St. Brigid of Kildare Knights of Columbus Council and has served as a Past Grand Knight.
