About Matthew Gibb

I am a higher education leader with over 15 years of experience shaping the global strategies of leading European business schools. At ESSEC Business School, I serve as Director of International Relations, working closely with the Dean and senior leadership to define and drive the school’s international strategy. My work focuses on opening and overseeing global hubs in New York, London, and Mumbai; cultivating strategic international academic partnerships with world-class universities; and representing ESSEC on the global stage to enhance the school’s reputation, reach, and impact. Previously at HEC Paris, I held senior roles in program development and international strategy over more than a decade. I led the design of joint and double degree programs, oversaw the creation of a diverse international portfolio, and developed global executive education initiatives, building a strong foundation in strategic partnerships and program innovation. My career focus is on aligning international partnerships and academic programming with institutional strategy, ensuring that global initiatives not only enhance reputation but also deliver meaningful outcomes for students, faculty, and alumni.
