About Matthew Grant

My name is Matt. I am a recent graduate of the MLIS program at Western with a wealth of professional and academic experience in the library sector. I've worked for 2+ years in public libraries and just recently completed a co-op with an academic library, where I gained a plethora of skills that can help your team on projects related to collections management, reference, teaching and more. Beyond my library degree, I also have a Masters of Cinema Studies and expert knowledge of all types of media and culture, from film & television to video & tabletop games. I am adept at working with both adults and children, as well as an expert communicator and team player who can easily work independently when required. I am highly organized and especially skilled at learning new technologies. My goal post-graduation will be to secure a position at an academic library, where I can continue to develop my skills and talents in an environment that values my abilities and allows me to pursue my academic interests as a budding researcher and professional librarian.
