Embarking on my journey into the realm of public safety in my career has been marked by a diverse array of experiences and qualifications. Among my accomplishments are certifications such as West Virginia (WV) Fire Fighter 2, Fire Officer 2, NREMT EMT-Basic, and Floodplain Manager, testifying to my commitment to public service.Specializing in geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping, I've been at the forefront of managing accurate address coordination. This, coupled with my role as an Emergency Manager, has facilitated my ability to guide communities in the face of crisis. Further solidifying my expertise are certifications as an HSEEP Instructor, Exercise Evaluator, ALERT Instructor, CDP Indirect Instructor, EMRTC Indirect Instructor, WV PST Instructor, WV OEMS Instructor, in addition to graduating from the EMI Basic Emergency Management Academy and EMI National Advanced Emergency Management Academy.My professional trajectory has been enriched by experiences in hazardous materials exercise planning and training, an essential aspect of preparedness and response in public safety. I've also been instrumental in hazard mitigation efforts, underlining my dedication to reducing risks and safeguarding communities.One of the highlights of my career has been participating in international and national Scout Jamborees, where I had the chance to engage with and mentor young minds passionate about service and adventure. In collaboration with multiple workgroups for LEPC, I have contributed to initiatives that have far-reaching impacts in the realm of public safety.My journey, while diverse and challenging, has been rewarding. As I continue to grow in my career, I am committed to using my knowledge and skills to contribute positively to the safety and welfare of our communities.
