My Professional Philosophy Recreation Sport management is based on four parts: Leisure, recreation, sport and play. These activities promote entertainment, mental and physical health. This four activities have played their part to help shape history through the course of time. In the beginning tribal children would play would participate in play which is unorganized and has no definite goal. Now in present time we participate in sport which is organized activity in which physical effort is related to that of other relative measurement of outcomes with accepted regularities and forms. There are many different approaches to recreation but my approach is that recreation/sport help develop people mentally and physically into better people by teaching young meant the importance of hard work and team work. In Return; this will make the community better. I also believe that a person should have the freedom to choose a activity that will bring him or her pleasure. The next approach I hold dear is the Environmental/Aesthetic/Preservation Approach. This means that I believe we as a society have a duty and obligation to protect, maintain, and preserve the natural healthy state of our historical and cultural environmental. I believe there is no better way to sooth my mind than to participate hiking, hunting fishing, and camping in nature. Recreation in the community should be provided by the government like schools, and in the outdoor recreation DNR. The best agencies are private and commercial organizations because they have more money to pay for more employees and better facilities. More employees and better facilities allow for safer and cleaner recreation environment. This can also help preserve the environment.
