I am a CIMA qualified Finance Professional with nearly 10 years’ industry experience. Expert in developing robust strategies, I engineer value from any given situation and turn potential threats into opportunities. I have worked for Cohens Chemist Group since 2014, receiving progressive promotions to become Property Director for the Group’s estates and facilities division, Mantle Property Services in 2021. Notable career highlights during this time include: Introducing a full Fixed Asset Register for each branch, facilitating tender of the full years’ worth of works in advance, optimising cost efficiency and service quality. Implementing new FRS 102 accounting standards, ensuring financial statements provided a transparent view to strongly support credibility in business transactions. Selling 13, 5-bed high-quality houses, initially intended for rent, achieving a sale price of £3.17m and an ROI of 40.89%, c.£1m more than the value proposed by the national Estate Agent. By utilising a project appraisal philosophy, I develop and implement large-scale changes and improvements to all aspects of the Finance function, resulting in stronger cost management and an enhanced control environment.
