About Matthew Hahn

I have years of experience working with children of ages 5-14. I served as a coach, mentor, role model, and friend to hundreds of children and their families in my years at the YMCA. My passion for working with children has led me to become a coach at the middle school level for two separate schools in the La Crosse area. This passion of working with children and seeing them improve on a daily basis personally and physically has forged my professional goal of one day become a Youth Sports Coordinator or Director of a non-profit organization or municipality. Outside of working with children I have experience in planning a city wide event from scratch. I played an integral part in the planning of a successful family event held at the La Crosse Ice Center in conjunction with the La Crosse Park and Recreation Department. I spoke to and dealt with numerous rejections from potential sponsors and supervised volunteer staff. This experience has led to me be very interested in becoming an important part of program planning for any organization I may work with in the future. Supervision of staff and budgeting have also been important experiences I have had the pleasure of taking part in during my work history. I have held numerous positions as a supervisor to staff and asked to work within a set budget. These experiences have taught me a lot and allowed me to excel in my personal and professional life.
