Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my LinkedIn page! I graduated college with a Building Construction Management Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. I have had extensive facilities management experience as an intern for the Facilities Planning and Management department at UW Madison for 5+ years. My work consisted of projects for sidewalks, parking lots, roofs and all of the other general exterior construction maintenance needed on a large campus such as Madison. I also excel at many areas on the computer, including Auto-CAD, Revit and Microsoft Office. After Graduation I worked for a year for ProBuild doing residential estimating. This was a great job to have until Cullen called a year later with an opportunity to work at the construction site for Epic Systems in Verona, WI. Here I worked with masons almost exclusively. I learned from both the project engineer side of things as well as working in the field as a mason apprentice. Here I gained invaluable knowledge of how the construction process works; all the way from the top of the org. chart to the guys on the front line. In April 2017, I was hired by the Transportation Department at UW-Madison. It had been my dream since leaving as an intern to return in a full time capacity as a Project Manager. I am the first one to hold my position in the Transportation department. With the the help of my co-workers, we are implementing a culture that is proactive in dealing with parking maintenance as opposed to reactive, while at the same time continuing to make repairs that are already necessary due to a less than adequate maintenance program before I was hired. Through the 1st year+ we have already shown drastic improvements and continue to improve our Facilities Maintenance Program. Thank you again for visiting. Matt Harman
