About Matthew Hoeffner

I am passionate about life, and by that I mean I try to bring passion into everything that I do. In my past military experience I traveled the world, and had experiences that one could only dream about. Those experiences have led me to gain a new passion for my education, which explains why I was able to graduate with my BA in Criminology from the University of California, Irvine. Since my time in service I have found out that my true passion in life is helping others. This is why I have conducted a Mission Continues Fellowship at Strength in Support (SIS), in which I provided Peer Support for Veterans using their therapy services. Since my time with SIS I have continued my service of Veterans by working for Volunteers of America through their Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. In that position I help provide the resources necessary to make sure Veterans that are struggling have the opportunity to get back on their feet, including finding housing resources, and much more. Other skills I have learned to perform at a high level include Microsoft Office, exam administration, organizational, and administrative operations including billing, invoicing, and creating detailed files. These skills were learned primarily while working in higher education administration at the University of California Irvine, and at the College of the Desert.
