I have an extensive background in the telecommunications industry. Worked for over 25 years in the telecommunications industry with multiple positions within a leading Telecommunications Company in New York (Cablevision) and presently in Florida with Charter ( Spectrum ) Communications My career as an Installation Technician, Lead Technician, Quality Control Technician, Supervisor, and then the Area Safety Manager position for NYC (Bronx and Brooklyn) with the lowest OSHA rating for both areas for over 8 years. I have the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience in Safety and Loss Prevention Control (Risk Management). I take pride in being a team player working on team project-management skills and has a strong operations background. I bring my past experience to the Safety team to help enhance the overall change in behaviors and culture to all departments. I also have the ability to assess potential Risks that employees could encounter along with a root cause analysis to prevent or limit the type of exposure relating in injuries to employees and the public. Because of my background in the Cable Industry as a Technician and Supervisor helps me relate to the everyday hazards the employees encounter to reduce the risks of injury. Employees know that My past experience and guidance is respected (buy-in) to help enhance the overall safety of the employees. I promote the "Near Miss Theory" and review that with every employee in the field and the Leadership team. I am a strong believe in transparency between myself and the frontline employees along with management. I am in constant weekly communications with the employees by E-Mail or WebEx meetings. I send out weekly reports to the employees and management on safety awareness and statistical overall performance for my region. This type of communication helps all employees to see trends along with root cause analysis on injuries and vehicle accidents. Since I have started with the Safety Team in East Central and providing guidance, support to the region the East Central region has outperformed in all statistical categories month over month compared to the 2019 year (Workers Comp Injury Incident Rate, Workers Comp Recordable Injuries, Auto Accident Incident Rate, Auto Accident Recordable, and Cost of Claims Net Incurred) I am a certified First Aid, CPR and AED trainer with National Safety Council. I am a Certified Safety Manager with National Association Safety Professionals ( NSAP ).
