About Matthew Jackson

I was appointed President, Liberty International Insurance Asia Pacific in April 2024. In this role, I am responsible for Liberty’s retail, commercial and specialty businesses in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, I led Liberty Specialty Markets' Asia team from 2018-2024. I have worked with Liberty for over 20 years, initially joining in 2003 as a Casualty Underwriter based in Australia, before moving to Hong Kong and then Singapore to lead the Asia Casualty team. As a strategic thinker and engaging leader with nearly 30 years’ experience in commercial and specialty insurance both in Australia and Asia, I have a broad working knowledge of a range of complex insurance products. I have a proven track record in developing high-performing teams across multiple geographic regions, resulting in the consistent and prudent growth of profitable books of business in a range of territories and market conditions. Prior to working at Liberty, I held positions at GIO (1996-1998) and MMI / Allianz (1998-2003) in Melbourne, Australia and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Melbourne.
