About Matthew Jeng

With over seven years of experience in motion capture at Weta Digital, I am a senior software developer who specializes in machine learning and software development. I have a master's degree in landscape architecture from Victoria University of Wellington, and I am fluent in Chinese and English. As a motion capture technical director, I have contributed to the development and improvement of various motion capture systems and tools, such as facial, body, and performance capture, as well as data processing and quality control. I have worked with multiple teams and departments to deliver high-quality motion capture data and solutions for some of the most acclaimed and award-winning films and projects in the industry, such as Avatar 2 and Avengers: Endgame. I am passionate about creating innovative and realistic motion capture solutions that enhance the storytelling and visual effects of the films and projects I work on. I am also committed to learning new technologies and skills, and sharing my knowledge and expertise with others.
