About Matthew Johnston

My dedication to fostering student diversity and belonging is unwavering. As an administrator in higher education, I've championed educational programming and services that resonate with students from a myriad of backgrounds, ensuring their academic and social flourishing. This role not only aligns with my MEd in Higher Education Administration but also propels my current pursuit of an EdD at William & Mary. My expertise in student recruiting and supporting international students has been instrumental in enhancing campus life. With a strategic approach and a suite of data management skills, evidenced by multiple Slate certifications, I’ve spearheaded initiatives that bolster orientation and encourage robust campus involvement. These efforts reflect my commitment to equity and my resolve to mold an academic landscape where justice, equity, inclusion, and belonging is not just present but celebrated.
