About Matthew Kane

My name is Matthew Kane. I recently graduated from LIT in Ireland earning my bachelor's degree in 2020. Before this I spent a semester studying over seas in Japan where I studied the Japanese language and culture. I also graduated from the business administration-marketing program at St. Lawrence College and therefore possess knowledge in the field including marketing communications and professional sales tactics. During my academics, I was privileged to spend six months participating in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World. As a Disney Cast Member, I demonstrated strong guest service skills. This experience was one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had, allowing me to make magic for the guests and create a memorable experience. Through education in marketing, I have been able to demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills in various individual and group assignments. As a student I have demonstrated a record of success and achievement by earning Dean’s list honors, Editor of the Year in a communication course, one of the “Next Best 50” students most likely to succeed in the business field, as well as achieving the highest-ever grade in a career development course. While studying I pursued outside interests such as acting and filmmaking, Toastmasters International, and studies in Japanese. As a Toastmaster, I have demonstrated strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and persuade others, convincing them to join Toastmasters. As a filmmaker, I have demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills while casting actors, assembling costumes, and using networking skills to find sets to film on. Working with people is my specialty and my previous supervisors have always noted my outstanding people skills.
