About Matthew Kleinman

Seasoned mariner with a multitude of experience on a wide range of vessels. Raised on the water of Long Island's South Shore; Matt was a mariner from a very young age. Through adolescence and into adulthood, he realized that the life of a professional mariner and marine enthusiast, was most well-suited for him. Stopping at nothing, he spent countless hours delving into, and researching different marine-oriented organizations, and learning how he could do his part and become an active contributor to the marine science community. As a self-proclaimed environmental conservationist, and citizen-scientist; he's constantly in search of other ways to get involved, and share his vast wealth of knowledge, as well as gain the interest of others, to be involved in our local marine environment. Matt is a goal-oriented marine professional with a passion for just about anything he puts his mind to. Matt is a natural born leader as well as a cooperative team player. Professionally-experienced in Marine Education, ecology, and the aquaculture fields, as well as boat handling and safety, basics of sailing, and tall ship operation. Matt also has a background in business development and marketing, and has a passion for history, interpersonal-psychology, and interpersonal sociology. He's currently looking for his next venture in the marine sciences and/or maritime industry
