About Matthew Lindsey

I have worked in a lot of different environments and industries to build my overall skill set for different scenarios and a variety of challenges that could come across my path in my professional career. I would say I have an entrepreneurial mindset in the way of always trying to get things as efficient and cost effective as possible and I gathered this skillset from my family life and realizing that if you want something done a certain way then it is best to do it yourself. My first job experience in my opinion was working towards obtaining a scholarship for basketball and treating it like a full time job. While focusing on basketball I found a passion for the stock market at sixteen years old and started developing a basic skill set of chart reading, pattern recognition, financial report understanding, and learning the way companies are built and determining their value based on the valuation and since then I would say those attributes have only improved on a consistent basis. During this time I would say my skills around computers quickly improved in terms of running diagnostics, building spreadsheets, and overall functionalities. After I finished my associates degree and didn't want to continue basketball (for injury reasons) I quickly got a job working in the food industry to learn customer service and how to treat people accordingly while making my decision of where I wanted to continue my education. After deciding to go to University of Arizona for a year and just focus on school and building relationships. I moved to Texas for a fresh start and to be around my family I currently have here while continuing my education online through the University of Phoenix to obtain my bachelors degree in financial advisement. I currently work at Amazon where I am a associate and in the top 5% of the workforce at the AFW1 Warehouse, as well as working on my families ranch doing a lot of home remodeling, and working at a restaurant part time. Overall I love working and learning new things and would say I am very good at building relationships and maintaining a good relationship with those who value me as a person. I would say my skills in the workplace can be valued high because I hold myself and others around me to a high standard and will continue to do so throughout my professional career.
